Symbols

Instead of printing the received data as ASCII and HEX to the output window, which makes it difficult to understand, the data can be translated into symbols.

These function also works with the output windows and the logging mechanism.

Example:

An external device transmits data to a second device, which either acknowledges them (“ACK”) or rejects them (not acknowledge = “NAK”).

Instead of using the hex values 0x06 (= ACK) and 0x15 (= NAK), SerialSniffer can translate them into its corresponding text “ACK” or “NAK”.
