The SerialRecorder gives you the possibility to store the data stream of an external device in a file and do a playback later. This can be compared with using a traditional tape system for the data. The timeline (including the pause between data blocks) will also be stored in the file.
The received data and the time lag between the single characters are written to a binary file. This file can be “played back” as often, as necessary.
This functionality is useful to record data, which only appears once or in case the user has limited access to the data source. The recorded data can be used afterwards in the laboratory i.e. to develop or test software.

The license for using SerialRecorder is not included in the main license of SerialSniffer.
In order to use the SerialRecorder, you have to obtain an additional license for the module A.
Without the additional license, the module can be used in restricted mode for evaluation.
